February saw the annual premier black tie event in the shipping calendar take part at The Hilton Park Lane and the opportunity for all to network with colleagues and celebrate recent maritime achievements. This year was also of huge significance as it celebrates 100 years of UK shipping and the Chamber receiving its Royal Charter.
In attendance were around 800 influential guests from across
the industry for the UK Chamber of Shipping annual dinner 2020, which included
HRH Princess Royal and Nusrat Ghani, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at
the Department for Transport. They both made moving and poignant speeches about
the UK Maritimes importance, the challenges faced and the what the future holds
in training and safety for everyone involved.
Viking Maritime Group made the dinner a perfect opportunity to invite clients and friends to participate in the annual celebrations and enjoy the wonderful food, entertainment and speeches.
