Viking Maritime Group Managing Director, Matthew Jaenicke was recently invited to become an Honorary Member of the HCMM and was sworn in at his declaration ceremony, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Emily Jaenicke.
The ceremony was a formal event held onboard HQS WELLINGTON on the River Thames, at which Matthew made his declaration to the Honourable Company before fellow Master Mariners and the Queen.
The formality of the event is to emphasise the significance of joining an eminent body of fellow professionals and a prominent City of London Livery Company.
The Honourable Company of Master Mariners (HCMM) is one of the most prominent livery companies of the City of London and is steeped in history and tradition.
Chiltern Maritime (Part of Viking Maritime Group) works exclusively in partnership with the HCMM to train a number of young people to join the Merchant Navy and continue to provide mentorship and guidance through to a successful completion.
Chiltern Maritime and Matthew himself are very proud of the partnership and association with the HCMM.
