Samuel Alabaster MTA Dip MLaw MCIPP Dip is the Director of Viking Crew’s Guernsey office, bringing a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and international industry experience. With over eight years in the marine services sector, Sam has built a reputation for delivering high-quality operational oversight and exceptional client service. Prior to joining Viking Crew, he served as Head of Client Services within the maritime sector, where he led multi-jurisdictional teams and oversaw complex client portfolios across diverse jurisdictions. Sam’s career spans both private and commercial marine industries, giving him a deep understanding of the operational, regulatory, and logistical challenges faced by clients worldwide. He has developed bespoke service solutions tailored to vessel owners, corporate clients, family offices, and commercial operators, ensuring efficient, compliant, and scalable outcomes. Having played a pivotal role in business restructuring initiatives, implementing process improvements, and driving organisational efficiencies, Sam’s proactive approach and calm leadership style have earned him the trust of clients and colleagues alike.
As a qualified member of the CIPP, whilst holding a degree in Payroll Management, he is also qualified in Maritime Law, further strengthening his technical capabilities and industry insight. In addition to his formal qualifications, Sam brings proven expertise in risk assessment, operational governance, workflow optimisation, and the integration of digital solutions to enhance service delivery.
