Assistant Bosun 100M+ research vessel
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Bosun and Chief officer in day-to-day deck operations including mooring, anchoring, tender handling, and maintenance of deck equipment.

Support in deploying and recovering research gear, workboats, equipment and lifeboats including the use of a crane.

Carry out planned maintenance and repair of deck machinery, safety gear, and associated systems.

Uphold safe working practices and ensure deck operations are performed to the highest professional standards

Stand watch as required and assist with shipboard operations at sea.
Requirements:
-
STCW and ENG1 (or equivalent) valid certification.
Navigational watch rating certificate, Able Seafarer - Deck RFPNW -
Previous seagoing experience in a similar role. Experience operating large cranes

Strong practical seamanship, line handling, and small boat skills
